BIO.
Born and raised in a bustling town, Stockport, then later in life in her 40’s made the decision for her family to move to rural North Shropshire where she is more in her comfort zone having nature on her doorstep. This is what she puts down to a new reignited passion for creating art and enjoys losing herself in her studio at home.
Not having the opportunity to pursue her love of art from a young age Jannine, is mainly a self-taught artist.
Jannine is a visual artist mainly concentrating in oils, she takes inspiration from the world around her, the love of nature and the outdoors including the people she passes in the street, to her dreams and imagination where she delves into a semi surreal feel in her artwork, she plays with the light and shadows in many of her pieces.
Jannine enjoys exploring the unknown of where her mark making and imagination leads her, watching creations emerge from delving into the imagination and curiosity of life, translating dreams, fears and meaning to canvas. Also having a curiosity in the world of Greek Mythology and interpreting this in her own style.
